The project involves a level 3 alteration to an existing hotel building, specifically the conversion of the 10-story Topaz Hotel into a Courtyard Hotel by Marriott. The transformed hotel will feature 143 guestrooms, encompassing a total area of 73,617 square feet (SF).
FMC played a crucial role in the project, focusing on the structural design for various enhancements. This encompassed designing new slab openings, stairs, ramps, vestibule, and operable partitions, infilling existing slab openings, conducting core drill reviews, and upgrading the existing floor and roof slabs to support the green roof and façade improvements.
Furthermore, FMC provided construction administration services throughout the project, ensuring the smooth implementation of the design and overseeing the construction process.
