Originally constructed in 1929, this building holds significant historical value as it is listed in the DC Historical database. Situated within the lively Dupont Circle and Logan Circle neighborhoods, it enjoys a prime location along the bustling 16th Street corridor.

The project encompasses a substantial transformation of the existing nine-story apartment building, including the installation of a brand-new MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) system to ensure compliance with current codes. Notably, the renovation aims to create essential amenity spaces within the building to cater to the needs of its occupants.

FMC's responsibility includes handling various structural design aspects of the project. These tasks include infilling slabs, upgrading existing roof slabs, creating new slab openings, designing stairs, accommodating slab penetrations, and incorporating mechanical equipment. Apart from the design phase, FMC also offers valuable construction administration services throughout the project's duration. This includes thorough review and management of Requests for Information (RFIs) and shop drawings, as well as conducting regular site visits during the construction process. By closely monitoring the project on-site, FMC ensures the smooth and successful execution of all design elements, fostering a seamless implementation.
