Eyoel Amente, MSc, PE
VICE PRESIDENT
Eyoel is currently a Principal of FMC Structural. Before joining FMC, he gained valuable experience working for several structural engineering firms. He spent fourteen years at Tadjer Cohen Edelson & Associates in Silver Spring, Maryland, and five years at Savior Consult in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Eyoel is actively involved in the design and renovation of various project types. His expertise extends to residential buildings, high-rise structures, mixed-use developments, schools, universities, hospitals, bridges, commercial and industrial buildings, civil engineering projects, reservoirs, hotels, garages, office buildings, and interior renovations.
He possesses a broad range of experience with different building materials, including reinforced concrete, pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, and wood construction. Additionally, he has specialized knowledge in conducting analyses and designing structures to mitigate progressive collapse risks and withstand seismic and wind forces.
As a vice president of FMC Structural, he assumes responsibility for the overall direction and leadership of the firm. Alongside overseeing the company's business operations, Eyoel also guides the structural design teams and project development initiatives, offering leadership and mentoring to ensure client needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Education: Ph.D. Candidate in Structural Engineering (Unfinished). MSc in Structural Engineering & Project Management. MSc in Geotechnical Engineering, and BSc in Civil Engineering.
