Amelita works for FMC Structural as a BIM Manager. Before FMC, she worked as a highway engineer in the Department of Public Works and Highways in her native city of Manila, Philippines, where she was involved in the design of the 110-km highway that traverses from Marikina (Metro Manila) through the mountainous province of Rizal that ends in Infanta, Quezon, Philippines.

Amelita specializes in computer-aided drafting and design of highways and building structures. She worked in one of Asia's top 10 engineering companies, like Maunsell Building Engineering Group in Hong Kong and Meinhardt (Singapore) Pte Ltd in Singapore. She worked for 11 years with Tadjer-Cohen-Edelson Assoiates, Inc., in Maryland.

At FMC, she has worked on various structures such as concrete, steel, and wood components of residential, office, hotel, and commercial buildings. In developing a building model and details, she used Revit and AutoCAD software to integrate Microsoft Office and BlueBeam for project presentations. In addition, she set office standards that produce good quality drawings and systematic project organization.

EDUCATION: BS in Civil Engineering.
